How your entry is assessed
Completed entry forms are to be signed by a
recognised official of the community body.
Villages entering the Calor Village of the Year® for Wales 2008 competition will be split into three regions:

|
North Wales (Gwynedd; Ynys Mon; Denbighshire; Conwy; Wrexham; and Flintshire) |

|
Mid and West Wales (Powys; Ceredigon; Pembrokeshire; and Carmarthenshire) |

|
South Wales (Swansea; Neath Port Talbot; Bridgend; Vale of Glamorgan; Cardiff; Rhondda Cynon Taf; Merthyr Tydfil; Caerphilly; Torfaen; Blaenau Gwent; Monmouthshire; and Newport) |
Your written entry submission will be read and then short-listed by an independent panel of experienced Judges.
Those villages who are short-listed will receive a visit from a separate team of Judges. These visits will take place July, August and September 2008. Each visit will last no more than two hours and this will be an opportunity for the village to make a presentation to the Judges.
Each successful short listed village organiser will be contacted by the end of June 2008 to advise them that they have got through. The Judging Organiser for their Region will then discuss the timing of the Judges’ visit.
The overall winners of North Wales, Mid & West Wales and South Wales will be announced during September 2008.
No other results will be announced until the Calor Village of the Year® Awards Luncheon, which will take place in London in December 2008.
A number of winning villages will be invited to send two representatives to the Awards Luncheon to celebrate their achievements.
