Bromham, Wiltshire- Regional Winner 2006 / 2007
Bromham, Wiltshire benefits from a very pro-active parish council, which has encouraged and coordinated the development of businesses, and the provision of community facilities in the village.
The community is well organised and residents work together to raise a huge amount of money for community projects and for external purposes. Long term objectives have been followed and achieved, as highlighted by the recent completion of the eco-friendly housing and the imminent start of the Self Build housing scheme.
The Social Centre in Bromham, situated by the playing field, acts as a focal point for the community and is extensively used. A wide range of activities is on offer to older residents, to suit a variety of tastes and interests and all village organisations benefit from the experience, guidance and active involvement of senior residents.
