North Lincolnshire's Best Kept Winners Revealed
The winning communities in the 2005 Northern Lincolnshire Best Kept Village and Small Towns competition have been revealed.
A total of 16 communities from an original tally of 37 were shortlisted during the summer to go through to the second round of judging. Standards were high throughout and the judges had a difficult time selecting the winners. However they did eventually reach their decision, and the full results of the competition are as follows:

The Northern Lincolnshire Best Kept competition is organised by Jenny Haynes on behalf of Northern Lincolnshire CPRE (Campaign to Protect Rural England) and sponsored by Calor, the UK’s leading supplier of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), with additional support from local sponsors Fenland Leisure, the Scunthorpe and Grimsby Telegraph, Brigg Garden Centre, Oaklands Nurseries and Stephen Smith’s Garden Centre.

The standard was extremely high and the judges were both surprised and encouraged by the amount of community effort put into the competition by some communities. We are looking forward to celebrating with the winners at the awards event on 7th November.”
