2005 Derbyshire Village of the Year - Deadline Approaching

Villages throughout Derbyshire are being encouraged to get together an entry for the 2005 Derbyshire Village of the Year competition before the deadline of Saturday 30th April. Information and entry forms went out to villages back in February and competition organiser on behalf of Derbyshire Rural Community Council, Chris Adlington, is urging villages not to leave it too late. Villages are being reminded that if they want to enter this year’s Cornwall Best Kept Village competition they must act fast to beat the deadline of Monday 25th April. Villages in Wiltshire have been given an extra month to put together an entry for this year’s Wiltshire Best Kept Village and Building Community Life competitions. Entry forms for both competitions were sent out to villages across the county during February and the original closing date for completed entries was Friday 1st April. However, in order to encourage more villages to benefit from the competitions, the closing date has been extended to 30th April. More >>
