Warwickshire's Best Kept Villages Honoured
The winning villages in the 2006 Warwickshire Best Kept Village competition have been honoured at presentation events held recently at Sambourne and Leek Wootton. The competition is run by Warwickshire Rural Community Council (WRCC) and sponsorship is provided by Calor, the UK’s leading supplier of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
Representatives of the winning villages were presented with their prizes, including framed commemorative certificates, by Rachel Hodge of Calor. The Warwickshire Best Kept Village competition, which also incorporated the Best Kept Churchyard competition this year, encouraged communities to work together to keep their surroundings tidy and well maintained.

Best Kept Small Village Winner Sambourne
Best Kept Large Village Winner Leek Wootton
Best Kept Churchyard Winner Church of St Peter and St Paul, Butlers Marston
